La Jara Farmers Market: Serving all of Conejos County
The La Jara Farmers Market features Sage Larsen on Friday, September 4, from 4-6:30pm at Our Lady of the Valley Church on Highway 285 in La Jara. The market opens at 3pm, runs until 7pm and is a great place to get some of the freshest local produce, arts and crafts, products and other great fare. Seventeen-year-old Sage, a senior at Sanford High School, will be covering songs by Tanya Tucker and Roseanne Case along with works by Jewel, Mama Cass, Rodney Atkins and Alison Krauss. “As of now, I do not have any original songs, but my boyfriend, Tyler Parsons and I have just formed an acoustic band,” says Sage. “We call ourselves Working Without Wires. Tyler is an amazing guitar player and we plan on eventually writing our own music.” Sage is also working on her first CD that should be out soon. “It is a self-titled CD filled with covers that were originally recorded by some of my favorite country artists including Tanya Tucker, Alison Krauss and Rosanne Cash,” says Sage. You can find out more about Sage and Tyler’s newly formed band Working Without Wires.
