Espinoza-Church.jpg

The Capilla del Santo Niño, located in the village of Espinoza, was built in 1910 and was contructed of adobe in memory of Otoniel D. Espinoza. The building was blessed by Pardre Behiels, S.J. on September 18, 1910 and was dedicated to the Santo Niño de Jes˙s. The church was once adorned on the interior by angels on both sids of the presbytery - gifts of the Espinoza family. Today, the church is in ruins and on the verge of collapse. Livestock found shelter in the structure destroying the interior and the small addition on the south side of the building, evidenced by the change in paint color in the photo, collapsed and was removed. photo by Jay Packer
